At the start of the movie when they are putting the raptor into its enclosure, the way in which it goes wrong doesn't make sense to me. How did the raptor charging forward cause that massive metal crate to slide backwards? The physics at play in that one moment seem improbable at best and it seemed like they were stretching for a way to let the raptor attack someone.
shareThe raptor didn't charge forward towards the enclosure. That was just camera tricks. She actually charged towards the back of the crate and rammed the cage out of position with her body weight.

The OP has a good point, come to think of it. The cage would have been too heavy for the animal to have managed to cause it to move much if at all. Good point, IMHO, OP.
shareI don´t believe the 180 degrees theory. We can see that the cage is on wheels and it´s rolled towards the gate on rails. When the gate slowly opens the raptor sees its freedom and charges towards the opening. But the gate is not yet fully open and the raptor runs straight into it, the force causing the cage to start rolling backwards in the tracks.
Like if you are standing on a skateboard and push an object in front of you. You will roll backwards.
