DIANE BAKER AS THE RACIST MOM

Does anybody else appreciate Diane Baker's performance as the racist mother of Andrew McCarthy? She only appears in two scenes but leaves a stinging impression. Kudos to Diane for accepting such a small part in a great film.

I always loved her since Marnie!

Ummm...chocolate...

Agreed, she chewed up the scenes she was in, as wicked as the grandmother in "Flowers in the Attic."

That was Louise Fletcher in Flowers in the Attic hon.

I know it was Louise Fletcher. I was saying that Diane Baker acted as wicked as Louise Fletcher did.

She certainly was good, though not a popular character! I looked at her and thought, wasn't she in Silence of the Lambs? So I log into IMDb....yes, she was the Senator whose daughter was abducted by Buffalo Bill. Familiar face, Diane Baker!

Jenny in Journey to the Center of the Earth. Great as Shela in Mirage. Terrific actress.
