Missing Scene?

I watched the VHS version some years ago, and just watched the DVD (from Netflix, I believe it was the European cut). Some scenes I remembered vividly from the VHS version seemed to be missing -- a scene where all the angels were quietly staring out into the Sunday morning sunrise, and I seem to remember much more dialogue between the angels regarding how/why one should/should not become human, and I believe more dialogue from Cassiel about how he regretted becoming human/missed being an angel. Was I hallucinating during my first experience with the film? Or did I hallucinate this time and miss what was most memorable to me the first time? Thanks for your input.
