7.2 is way too low
This is one of the best movies ever made in my opinion, I gave it a 10

I agree. 7.2 is indeed way too low for this fine action thriller. It's one of Eastwood's very best films & probably the best film Wolfgang Peterson ever helmed. I would give it at least a 9 or 9.5 myself.
"Flying thru hyperspace ain't like dusting crops boy!"
I agree that the movie is underrated but the best of Wolfgang Petersen's movies is easily Das Boot.
shareI think 7.2 is too low as well, I have it an 8/10.
shareIt is a decent film but it has so many ridiculous moments, some really bad dialogue, and too much cheese.
shareI agree. I'd give it an 8 though. I'd like to buy it on bluray but haven't yet. I really can't say it's as good as Schindler's List which came out the same year.
When the Story Lady tells us about the naughty boy who blew up his goldfish.
Watching it now, it's been about 10 years. It is a really good movie, should be rated higher. It has also aged well, unlike a lot of movies from The 90's. Clint Eastwood is wonderful in it, so is John Malkovich.
shareI was surprised how good it was myself. The plot is by no means original, and there's a lot of cliché moments thrown in throughout but thanks to Jeff Maguire's snappy dialogue and the compelling drama taking place front and center along with the action and suspense, it makes for an extremely engaging thriller. It perhaps could have used just a few more curveballs to offset the usual Hollywood tropes but what we got was still quite good and better written than most action thrillers today. I'd give it an 8 myself.
shareThey make action thrillers today? 🤷🏻♂️
shareI can’t argue with that, I’d give this a 9 or 10. An incredibly well done movie.
