What high school did you go to?

He could have said that he went to a boarding school out of state. Guess he wasn't fast enough thinking on his feet.

And are we supposed to believe that the bank lady knows the name of all high schools in Minneapolis so well that she could be absolutely positive that any one school with an unfamiliar name doesn't exist?

I went to high school in a small city with a population of only about 30,000, and I have trouble remembering the names of all four high schools in that area. A city the size of Minneapolis must have even more high schools, so yeah, it's unlikely anybody would be familiar with all of them or be able to call you on it if you made up a fake school name.

I live in the Twin Cities metro area and I find it totally plausible that she would know there was no “New Brighton High School”. The suburb of New Brighton is a first ring suburb and she could have lived very near that area and known that school didn’t exist. The moment he said that in the film I said “that doesn’t exist”.

Fyi, the high school in New Brighton is Irondale.

That is why it is all so dumb. The guy is supposed to be super intelligent so why would he make up a bogus name of a high school from the town this woman is from so she would know he is lying? Just say they moved when he was 12. Or better yet if asked where he is from say where he is actually from! He knows that!

I'm from Rockford Ill. If I was plotting to kill the president would saying that fact to woman at a bank cause them to instantly run to the police worried I'm going to kill the president?

The scene is dumber than shit but it gets even dumber at this woman's apartment where he murders her and her roommate and just happens to be fortunate that their pet German Shepard is tied up so he can't bite him. A big dog like that tied up inside an apartment!

Dispute the commotion and the loud frantic barking he slips away no problem.
