What are Max and Dani supposed to tell their parents about what happened to their house?

Like how are they going to explain why there's a big hole in their roof that was caused by the blast from the Sandersons' broom exhaust when they took off with Dani? I suppose that at the time, you're not suppose to think too deeply about stuff like that (i.e. what happens to the characters the very next day after the story concludes on screen).

But still, Max and Dani's parents never believed what they were telling them about how the Sanderson sisters magically came back from the dead and are perusing them . I don't even know what Max and Dani are supposed to say about the fact that those three witches that they saw at the Halloween party perform "I Got a Spell on You" tried to kidnap and kill Dani.
