Anybody Have Any Ideas For A Sequel?

Rumors of a Hocus Pocus sequel have been circulating around the internet for some time now, and Bette, Kathy and Sarah have all expressed interest in doing it, but how do you think it could be done? How/why would the Sanderson sisters be brought back from the dead? Where would the story take place? Any ideas?

Also, while I'm on the subject would you welcome a second Hocus Pocus or do you think Disney should just leave well enough alone? Why does the idea of a sequel interest you, or, if you happen to despise the idea, why does it not interest you?

The Sanderson Sisters could try for world domination. Either they try to bring the Earth back to the Dark Ages, or them trying to gain ultimate power/status that they never achieved before.

Iron Man 3 is like a Fortune Cookie: It's hollow, full of lies, and leaves a bad taste in the mouth

I'd love a sequel... But if I were writer / producer, my ideas would be totally different that most people's:

I'd have the sequel so Allison has grown up to become a witch herself (a good witch, of course). She is married to Max, and they have kids. And then one of their kids accidently resurrects a curse - and the only way Allison can fix it is to cast a spell sending herself, Max, and their kids, back to ancient Salem, and battle a different set of witches there.

Ichabodcrane370 that sounds incredible! That plot would be perfect, and if they went with an idea like that count me in on opening night!

That would be an interesting idea and could be pretty cool, but I'd have them still run across the Sanderson sisters there. They have to hide/disguise themselves from them or Allison casts a memory spell to make them forget them to not upset continuity with the first movie. But the Sanderson sisters were what really made the movie, and all three have said they are open to returning, so if there's a sequel I think it still needs to have them. Overall I'd say they would be more integral to the sequel than Max and Allison.

In general though I would love a sequel but would be wary of the quality of the film. But even if it's bad still have the first one to watch and enjoy regardless.

A sequel sounds so much better than completely remaking it with whole different actors, because it's obvious when constantly remaking movies (that can also be a sequel if there isn't one) means running out of ideas. Of course, some remake the movie and then make a sequel to that. Instead, have a sequel and with the original cast (and they agree, at least Bette, Kathy and Sarah). It makes sense and start a story with Max and Allison, maybe flashing back to the ending or one or few parts during the original (with some telling the story of the sisters). The above poster's story sounds good.

I would absolutely love a sequel!!
I always thought that Winifred survived. She absorbed enough of Max (since he drank the potion) to gain some power. Then when she became a statue, that didn't mean she died. I think she cast a spell to make that statue explode to fool everyone.
The sequel MUST have all three sisters back, as they were the best thing about the movie. Maybe it can be about them and then halfway through Max shows up to get his youth back. Winifred returns to the world and resurrects her sisters. It's at that time that we see how old he looks, because once Winifred returned to the world, he aged. The rest of the movie is Max and his friends battling the sisters.

I think it would have to center around the spell-book ; it being the source of their life and power. If it can't be destroyed, then neither can the witches.

It brings them back after a kid accidentally performs the right spell from it. Something from their past comes back to aid them or kill them. I think that sounds about right.
