Was the actor who played Sykes chosen because he looks like a villainous version of Harrison Ford?

Am I the only one who thinks that the actor who played Sykes looks like a villainous version of Harrison Ford? If so, another example of how amazingly well made this film is

I've watched this movie perhaps 20 times from beginning to end and had never noticed that... now I can't unsee it lol.

It's possible. But I personally don't think they look alike. Also, Richard Kimble was never meant to be on the run from murder. He was meant to be the victim so I don't think the makers of the movie were thinking about wanting both characters to look alike. Now if the intended victim was the wife, then that would definitely make sense that they would want both characters to look alike.

Funnily enough the first movie I ever saw with the guy who plays Sykes was the Death of the Incredible Hulk. And he was a bad guy in that too. It's also the only movie besides the Fugitive I have seen him in. He's not as popular in America as Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.
