am i the only one that thought this?

i bought this movie because i like micheal madsen's acting. in most films i have seen he tends to play a killer. so it was nice to see him in a very different role, but the whole time i watched this movie i was thinking if madsen's character was gonna wack jess for giving him some lip. madsen's character would just give a look, or move his head like he's trying to relieve some stress by cracking his neck because the kid was giving him a hard time. like he's trying to hold back his anger. even in in this movie, dressed the way he is, he still looks like a tough mafia type of guy. did anyone think he was just gonna go off on jess and kill him?

plus i feel bad for his character because he lost his truck, had to fix the window that jess broke, and in part 2 he loses his boat because of jess. that would def. give him a right to put jess to sleep. does anyone agree with that?
