NC to review Free Willy this week

The Nostalgia Critic will review the 1993 family charmer tomorrow on his That Guy in the Glasses website.

I know I would be considering that this movie although has its moments was way too sappy for me. Then, the film had two sequels, which are unwatchable. What I remember most about the film was the Michael Jackson song, Will You Be There? This was the first time in twenty one years that Michael lend his original song to a film which I must say that song is almost as sappy as the film itself.

This movie should have been called Free Sappy.

Plus, it's another one of those films where it's supposed to take place in the state of Washington but it's filmed in Vancouver, B.C., Canada because it was cheaper to film there.

Can't wait for the review though.

Just watched it! NC reviews are getting snappier, but it still puzzles me that his reviews are less than twenty minutes these days (this was a little less than fifthteen minutes!) The "tapping on glass and eating popcorn menacingly" scenes were particular LOL moments.

As for this film, I remember seeing it in the cinema at the age of eleven. I would've picked another film if I had a choice, but it was all down to showing times and rating certificates. I don't think I've ever watched it all since, though I've caught bits of it on tv... I gave both sequels a wide birth!
