how did they get keiko to act in this?

how did they get keiko to do what the director wanted him to do? u guys know what i meen?

He was trained to do as commanded on cue. That's how all captive orcas are trained to perform in shows, etc

Generally captive whales and dolphins are deprived of food until they are submissive enough to perform tricks in return for it (at least early on in their captivity). That's the basics of it, however how they get them to learn each individual trick, I personally couldn't tell you. It's amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.
