The insurance fraud

I can understand why the aquarium owner sabotaged the tank for the insurance, and he would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for that meddling kid. But to try to attack the rescuers and kill willy after the rescue began is dumb. How is he going to explain that to the insurance company. He might as well turn himself in for insurance fraud. Now, not only is he not going to get his million dollars, but he is going to jail as well. He could have just sat back and said, "hey, ok, I failed, but its still my word against the kid that it was just an accidental leak in the tank."
Just my thoughts on the subject.

If I was the aquarium owner I think I would have called the press and made an inflated nation wide story about the saving of the whale. Chances are the sabotage and attempted insurance fraud would never come to light, but the free advertising and public relations would be worth more than the million dollar insurance claim. Just look at the little aquarium in Florida who gave a dolphin a prosthetic tale.

I always wondered what they thought they'd do if they caught Jesse and the others saving Willy; just put him on the beach? No tank, and they can't openly let him die.

For that matter, how could Willy jump over the rocks but not the net that didn't even rise above the water level?

In fact, they used some tools to create the leakage, I'm sure the insurance company would hire somebody to investigate and would eventually discover the fraud.

Anyway, once Willy was stolen, all he wanted was Willy back, to not lose the money.

It's a kid movie, no much thinking is required of it.
