I think it is definately one of Michael Jackson's best, he really got into the song in the video (which I think was a stage performance turned into a video).

I remember being so nuts about that song, with Jackson gone, I remince about that song. I listen to it with my nephew who loves Free Willy and loves orcas as much as I do, that was a beautiful song and it said it all. About love, friendship, family, loyalty and most of all nobility.
Just wish they didn't name the whale character Willy, orcas are beautiful they should be given a name that suits them. They could have given him a name that means lost child or stolen child, maybe just freedom something like that, willy is a name for a dog or bird or a cat.

Within the last couple of years, I've fallen back in love with this song--what an absolutely enchanted gospel classic it is! Wish it was back on the radio, as well as sung in churches everywhere! Also, if only it got an Oscar nomination for Best Song. Anyway, without this song, who would we be or who would Michael Jackson be? Incredible vocal range he had, huh?
