Terrific film and wonderfully acted

Hollywood ending in the film. In the book Mitch screwed over the firm and the mob by giving everything to the FBI, stole their money and then ran away with Abbey and Ray forever. Mitch also never told Abbey that he boinked a black hooker on the beach in Aruba. Book was much better.

I like the film ending, it is not a Hollywood ending, it just fits.

Isn't it a cool twist that he wanted to get them on a legal technicality and maintain his oath?

Mitch got the Firm on a technicality. He ended up protecting the Morolto crime family in the process. Not cool in my opinion.

Doesn't seem better to me. They made Mitch a lot more likable in the film version.
