I seem to remember the movie showing how he escaped when I saw it originally. Watched it last night and again today on tv and it doesn't show anything after he was strapped down and the stuff in his eyes. I'd like to know how he got out of this ship and got back so close to home. I'm not buying the story. But at least let us know how he got out of the ship!

The only wanted him for the time he was gone. I think in the movie they said 5 days. However, I do remember there being a decomposing body in one of the pods next to Travis' pod, so who knows?

I think they probably just let him go though.
