Robert Patrick was phenomenal in this

Every bit as good as he was in Terminator 2. Watching Fire In the Sky, T2, and The Cool Surface(a pretty bad movie, but made watchable by Patrick) back-to-back-to-back has me convinced he is one of the finest thespians in the business. A shamefully, painfully underrated actor.

Robert Patrick's performance in this was almost Oscar worthy. If the movie was about queer cowboys or the holocaust or the plight of African Americans he would have an oscar on his mantlepiece now. Because it was about being gang-banged by aliens it didn't get a look in.

I agree Robert Patrick was excellent...

I also liked DB Sweeneys work here.
I thought when they picked him up near the gas station was incredible.

I agree, Robert Patrick is a solid actor, I can see why he had been hired to finish out the eighth and ninth seasons of "The X-Files" after he had done this movie.

Agreed. He's one of these actors that you just forget about his previous role(s) because he blends in so well in his new one(s).

I can't believe you guys. He was terrible! The entire movie was terrible other than the UFO/alien parts. Patrick's monologue when he calls out the whole town had me laughing, it was so cheesy and cliche.

The script wasn't much to work with, of course. This film had so much potential, but it was ruined by the predictable interactions between the townspeople.

I agree completely. This is a gutsy, honest performance where he really puts himself out there, warts and all. After seeing his performance in this movie, I have to consider him a first-rate actor.
