but I prefer the scene where Dennis is tryin to pick up the paint he spilled on the floor with a hose. He turns the nozzle towards him and when he tries to look inside the hole, it sucks his hair in and he makes the most hilarious expression and scream to go with it.

My opinion is that the funniest part in the movie is when Dennis feeds Switchblade Sam the pork & beans and Sam resists as if it's stool. His disgusted facial expressions are hilarious.
One thing puzzles me....why did Switchblade Sam make pork and beans and does not eat it?

shareI agree Zell--Gunther is one of the most hilarious characters in this movie! I think it's largely due to his "Moe from the Three Stooges" bowl haircut and crossed eyes. I love the part where he's sitting in his backyard, and Switchblade Sam comes by and asks Gunther what he's eating, and Gunther says, "a apple." His voice and face are just hilarious!

When Mr. Wilson lied to Gunther about his father calling him and having him send Gunther home because him and his father were going to the ice cream store, was kind of mean because he got Gunther's hopes up. I'm sure he was upset when he got home.

I recently watched this movie after about ten years. The bathroom scene with the babysitter's boyfriend actually had me in tears. He's reading a kids book about trains and suddenly stops and asks: "How does a train grow?" Dennis who is moving around in the huge soap sudded water gives some answer about being good and eating coal. He replies with a priceless look: "But what's the point of reading lies?"
I also loved when he continued reading and couldn't say the word "sobbed." He said sob-ed and other forms, and finally said: "So-bob-ed Huffy the train." Awesome.
Just cause I wear tights and play with faries doesn't mean you can take my mermaids away from me.
When you say the scene had you in tears do you mean that you were in tears from laughing, or that you were in tears from crying because the boyfriend's remark about reading children lies hit home for you?
