Know any Darians and Adriennes in your life?

How close to reality is the demented character we have ruining Nick's life? Her upbringing certainly did not have anything to do with her being unusually vindictive. For someone coming from a good background - studies the piano and reads English literature - Adrienne's psychotic obsession seems a bit out of place, and there is little in the film to suggest that her behaviour isn't environmental but rather by birth, as in say The Bad Seed. Do you just pass it off as teenage adolescence?

Her character did remind me of a girl that liked me back in Junior high school. She was from church and I had rejected her "crush." In the summer we would have a week long summer camp with the other churches in the northeastern part of the State. There were a lot of youths from other churches and you'd meet and become friends easily. One morning in the middle of the week, "Mary" approached this girl that I had met and had started talking to and sitting together. I saw from a distance that she went over to "Jennifer" and just swung a punch to her face, knocking the girl off of one of the tree stumps used she was sitting on.

Mary shouted "You stay away from him!"

It was embarrassing and counselors had to talk to all of us and our youth leaders.
I've never had any "Dangerous Liaisons" situations as an adult, but Mary was the closest. How about you in your teen years?

Hahaha, "she went over to "Jennifer" and just swung a punch to her face, knocking the girl off of one of the tree stumps used she was sitting on." - I literally lol'd there.

Anyways, There was this girl i dated for a while, 5-6 years back. We met through a common friend and she initiated (i used to be too shy back then). Anyways we went out only a few times but used to spend hours talking over the phone. Things were going well i guess, but then it got too much.

I mean she will start talking about our marriage and will tell me to approach her family. I was only 17 WTF !! She was 2-3 years older than me and when i told her that i m not even thinking about it for next few years, she would start crying, like literally.

And when that crying and arguing got too much, i started ignoring her. But she went crazy with constant calls and texts. I used to have like 50 missed calls when i checked my phone in the morning. I am not bragging, i am not really a hunk or anything.

Anyways, last time when i met her, We had been there for like 5 mins. and she started talking about good times we had in the beginning and how i have stopped caring, and she started crying again. I felt so irate because of her whining i just couldn't take it. I just got up and stopped a cab. She kept crying and even held my hands begging me to stop. But i don't know what got inside me, i just got into the cab and left her crying there. I even received calls from her friend, who wanted me to go back but i didn't.

But I realized what i did that day was shameful, and i felt so bad thinking about it for days. I regret my behavior to this day. Anyways, after that, her calls got less and eventually stopped. By what I've heard she got married an year after that and must have kids by now. I have managed to stay single though :).

btw i didn't bang her, in case you're wondering. XD

I feel the same way the above poster was saying. I had a girlfriend that after we broke up we went back together last year (after being seprated for three years) only to break up with me because of what I did to her the last time we went out.

Here is a odd ball somewhat in line with this.

At a old job I had someone that stalked me. When I went out for lunch she would show up there. While I was working she was constantly touching me. On Fridays everyone went out for a few drinks after work. She never showed up but on Monday she would ask some of the women did I talk about her. So I am thinking she is normal and wants to go out. I asked her out and she turned me down.

Lovecomesagain that woman sounded nuts. Honestly you had to save your self.

I had a buddy who was stalked by his X. She told him I am not in love with who you are but who you could be.

Damn !! Isn't that one of the worst WTF things ever, that can happen to a guy. Talk about 'scarred of life'.

She told him I am not in love with who you are but who you could be.

Hahaha, that's a keeper :)

lovecomesagain that is very creepy. She follows me and asks did I talk about her but yet wont go out with me. Honestly I dont know what is going through her mind. Why stalk me if you dont want to go out with me. My thought is they will find my body in the trunk of a rental car.

Well, you had been warned :) No, I mean on the bright side, may be she is just nervous or intimidated by you or something. That does cause you to do stupid stuff like this. >> Story of my life :(

Maybe you SHOULD ask her friends about her (as she wanted). And does she look like a stalker type ?

Anyways, wishing you a very Happy New Year man, my 2012 sucked.. :)

No I left it open and did a low key. I called after the asignment was over and said I think I left something there and did anyone find it. Basically she could have said oh come in and we can look together. At work you have to be careful cuz they could claim sexual harressment.

Otherwise stalkers dont want to go out with the stalkee. Its a odd thing.

Yeah, that's strange yet true.
