shareLol, I am sure in the 18 years since the movie has come out you are not the first to notice that the Democratic Republic of Germany no longer existed by then. As an unrelated sidenote, isn't it curious, how almost all countries that have the word "democratic" in their official name, are usually autocratic regimes or outright dictatorships? The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or the Democratic Republic of the Congo come to mind.
Sure, propaganda is a autocratic/dictatorships' first weapon against its own people...
Makes you wonder what the real purpose is when you hear something like "It's for your protection"...
I hate IMDB's Signature policy...
How many countries is left that still calls themselves a Democratic Republic, only ones I can think of is DPR Korea and DR Congo
