I grew up in Paramus, New Jersey, and it was pretty cool when "Coneheads" came out in theatres and it turned out that the Conehead family had adopted Paramus as their home town in the film. (Even though to the best of my knowledge, little, if any, of the movie was actually filmed in Paramus... the "trivia" section here claims that the football stadium scenes were actually filmed at Paramus High School, but I certainly don't remember hearing about any such thing actually happening back then, when I was still living in town.)
In the interest of accuracy, however, I must point out that Paramus High did not have a swimming pool when I attended it in the late 80s (and as far as I know, it still doesn't to this day) so there was no school swim team for Connie Conehead to join!

I lived in Ridgewood,NJ for many years, which is right next door to Paramus and I din't recognize any of Paramus in the movie.

the trivia is going off of the fact that at the football game,
the bleachers say "paramus high school." but was it actually
made in paramus, nj? i was wondering what state it had been in.

I live in Midland Park, and I specifically watched the movie just to see if I recognized any of the locations. I didn't recognize anything, but I really enjoyed the movie.

I live in Woodbridge so I wasn't really familiar with any of the locations as I'm not usually around the Paramus area. I love that this movie is in Jersey though.

Hmm..
I lived in westwood new Jersey and I never heard anything about it..
well maybe thats because I live in North Carolina Now..
