I agree. It should get a much higher rating. It's one of the funniest films I've ever seen and it's got some great lines in it. It's also very smart for a comedy.

Dunno, I can think of many many movies deserving this rating or lower, mostly chick flicks and spoofs. I rarely rate anything below a 5, a 4 for me would be if I had a hcoice between watching the movie or visiting my dentist.
shareI avoided this film for years, finally watched it last night and was shocked to find it wasn't too bad, though that was probably because Adam Sandler had only one scene thank goodness.

I agree. This movie is way underrated here. I think a lot of people have never even watched it just thinking "oh great another crappy SNL movie."

my mom and i LOVE this movie, and would watch it anytime its showing. and if we see the DVD, we will buy it, lol. this movie is a good movie.

But if you enjoyed this film, than that's great! Rate it with a 9 or 10. And maybe watch the film again. :-)
There are a lot of different people out there, all with different opinions.
The original Coneheads were in 1975 on SNL. By 1993 the joke was long over.
shareTo spaminput- I said the same thing when I first heard that the movie was being made. But after seeing it in the theater, I found it to be very funny. Actually, I think it is one of the best SNL movies made next to the Blues Brothers. What's not to like about this movie? It has plenty of laughs, guest appearances and pretty good special effects. In fact, I am watching it now in HD on HBO And enjoying every minute of it.
shareI was surprised by the low rating as well. I don't think this is a perfect film, but I found it very imaginative, funny and absolutely worthwhile. 7/10 stars from me.
