This movie was pretty funny, it's cool that they took a simple skit from Saturday Night Live and turned it in to a major motion picture. But the music was a little over-done in some of the scenes...the monster scenes for example. The director gives too much control over the music director, and the music can be annoying.
shareOn movies targeted toward a teenage audience music is sometimes given a larger role than usual. I don't know what monster scene you mean, but the "kodachrome" song (during the home movie segment) is played all the way through. That can sometimes be boring or distracting but in this case I thought it worked out great.
