The space ships always looked pretty good and the monster at the end's go-motion is ace!

Lots of great stuff in this movie. The birth scene, the home movie (really looks like a home movie), busting out of the trailer home when the INS is closing in.

I just watched this again for. I think I saw this previously in the 90's and I do agree, that the special effects are pretty well done, especially the space ships and the end bit in Remulak look really nice. I've seen a lot worse in movies with way bigger budgets.
