Two 30 year olds pretending to be teen? LMFAO

Okay, Benjimen Bratt looked youngish, despite being 29 turning 30 when shot, but the main dude? No man, 17 turning 18 in six days? Come on. He looked every bit his 29 years in this.

Yeah man I agree. They probably got swept up in the 90210 television show style where almost ALL the cast members were in their late 20s playing high schoolers.

I've wondered about that too. How'd they make them look younger anyways.

Make-up, different hairstyles, even the way they carried themselves.

Can't stop the signal.

IF, IF, they were depicting simply 18 year olds then the point might be valid. but the film covers like 15 years or something. so for an actor to portray an 18 year old AND a early 20-year old, one needs someone in between. very few 18 year olds will make convincing 30 year old cops, druggies and gang leaders (harde lives that ages people). so yes the ages were totally appropriate for the SCOPE OF THE MOVIE.

True that. It's still laughable at the start. And I agree with that point for Broke Back Mountain, I was like "these dudes are so 20s and pretending to be older."

It didn't really work out in that movie.
