In the credits Meg Tilly's body double was listed simply as "Jennifer" - was it her sister Jennifer Tilly?

Apart from nudity being something evil (seems to be really an issue for many Americans), how she talks about the movie ("second rate") and more important, the director (the crotch assumption), seems VERY unprofessional to me. Boo!
Have to agree with Haileris, Meg Tilly's response was graceless to say the least.
I didn't pay close enough attention to notice any great difference between her and her double I guess.
Guess she didn't like working with Abel Ferrara. This is the second time i've heard of an actor badmouthing him.

I served my military time in Europe for a few years when I was a kid and it always amazed me how open and unconcerned the Europeans were (are) about sex and nudity.
It made me feel like a churchy grandma and I always thought of myself as pretty liberal until then!
They just seem so much more healthy and sensible about such things and us Americans are too buttoned down and repressed.
Now I'm not saying our small children ought to be watching hard core porn or whatever just that we could maybe loosen up a little.

Seems to have worked for them. They are a lot more influential now than they were when I was young.
True, but their criticisms come from different places, the right-wing puritans were more so about "morality", the left-wing puritans seems to be more so about representation, and depictions. They're deceptively different, but both very annoying.

Okay, I heard that there was rumor floating around that my sister was my body double in Body Snatchers. Come on people, grab a brain! Why in the world would my sister, a well known Oscar nominated actress, who has way more movie and tv credits that I ever could have dreamed of having, fly all the way to Mississippi to be my body double in some second rate movie? The very idea is ludicrous in the extreme. The woman who was my body double in the movie was a stripper at a local club. I remember being upset when the director cast her as my body double because although she had a beautiful body, her breasts were enormous, nothing like mine and I felt he let his crotch get in the way of his artistic judgement. I don�t remember what her name was, but I do know that she�d just had a baby and didn�t want her daughter to see the film when she grew up and know that it was her mother naked up on the screen. Who knows what her real name is? But apparently what they put in the credits was �Jennifer�. A common enough name, and most emphatically not my sister.

its one of the best scary movies out there.
I wouldn't be surprised if the producers took offence to her calling the movie " second rate". If Meg Tilly wasn't happy with her body double she could have done the scene herself.
This movie wasn't a bad remake, but the original was the best.
That's my option too. Why use a body double to begin with? The whole body double thing is silly. If you don't want to show your body, don't take a part that requires it.

I expect actors not to take parts they aren't willing to do. A stunt double for safety is one thing. But a body double just because you don't want to show skin? No. Then don't take the role.
