There's an article over at cracked.com discussing the link between OZ/Army of Darkness as well as other directors who did something similar.

They didn't mention :

Michael Mann's Heat (recycles his LA takedown TV movie)

Cronenberg's Existenz (recycles Videodrome?)

John Carpenter's Vampire$ (ending rips off Assualt on Precinct 13 then he went and did AOP13 in space with Ghosts of Mars)

agree/disagree?

Michael Mann's Heat (recycles his LA takedown TV movie)

Seeing as it's been well recorded that Heat is a remake of LA Takedown and that was Mann's intention all along...that really does not count.

And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.
