Out of the blue boomstick

Just nitpicking: where does the boomstick come from when Ash shoots Arthur's sword in half? He had the chainsaw because the wiseman picked it up when he was first captured and then threw it at Ash when he was fighting in the pit, but the shotgun is not mentioned and he certainly doesn't have it when he comes out of the pit. It seems to have just very conveniently materialized when necessary.

I always assumed you must fill the gaps by yourself. Some other knight had the boomstick with him, and this knight was around Ash at the time. OFF SCREEN, Ash just grabbed the boomstick back, and the knight was too shocked to do anything.

I was just wondering if I'd missed something, like you can actually see it dangling from the saddle of the third horseman when they're arriving at the castle, or something like that. Some people are really great at catching that sort of stuff, I'm usually not.

For a double barrled shotgun he does fire it a lot without reloading, three times ( sword chain monster ) and 4 times on the witch later on. Six times but we see him reloading once there.
