Loved this show as a kid. Hated season #2 and #3

Very underwhelmed by it overall.

Here in the UK it was trailered to death on TV and shouting about the fact that it was 'from Steven Spielberg'. I think he was only an executive producer, he had no creative input.

And I found it lacking in pretty much every department. Scheider looked bored and confused for most of the series. Rest of the cast were unmemorable, and pretty low rent apart from a few guest spots.

And dont get me started on the Dolphin.

But the most disappointing thing for me was the effects. What on earth was going on? They were so dark and murky you could not make anything out. Dreadful.

Everyone always hated the dolphin.

It's also in HD on Peacock! I'll have to give it another look. I actually own the first two seasons on DVD, but this upgrade in visual quality has me intrigued. This isn't a great show, but it brings back a lot of fond memories that I have of growing up and watching sci-fi in the 90s on TV.

Star Trek: TNG, The X-Files, Sliders, Earth 2, The Outer Limits, and SeaQuest were all shows I grew up watching back in the early to mid 90s.

X-Files is obviously great.
Slider is memorable with so much potential.
Earth 2 would have have been a great mini-series.
The Outer Limits should have been filled with a room full of great writers...
