I guest starred on a first season episode and I know why Telfer was booted from the show. He was abusive to the guest stars and female crew members. He went around to the guest stars individually called us names and wanted to fight us for absolutely no reason. He would also make outrageously inappropriate comments to makeup and script supervisors on set during rehearsals. Looking back, I can’t believe they let him get away with it.
This doesn't surprise me about Robert. If you look at his public Facebook, he seems very argumentative and bitter - he posts new meme's every day complaining about democrats. I've also read a comment from someone who went to high school with him. He was apparently a bully, and was already pretty political back then. Seems to line up.
If you scroll through the literal hundreds of meme's he's publicly posted, there is a selfie with a dog. He has a large grey beard, but you can still recognize it's him.
