Why Did They Not Do This?

Ok after they got rid of Ms. Bliss, Nickie, the two other teachers, and Mikey for Slater, Jessie, and Kelly to step in as Saved By The Bell. I would have to say after the second or third season they should have added the characters from Saved By The Bell The New Class under the same show of SBTB. I just think that they could have came up with some interesting story lines that way. Then once Zack, Kelly, Lisa, Jessie, Screech, and Slatter graduated from high school the spin off is ready to go. Let me know what you think?

My simple, honest response to that is that The New Class should never have been aired. The end. Cannot believe it went on for 7 seasons. Once the original SBTB gang of Zack, Kelly, Screech, Lisa, Slater and Jessie left, it should've ended. Zack and Kelly married = a good end. Bayside wasn't the same without the old gang, all the changing faces of the new gang had nothing special

I like this idea, very original. But one big problem that i see with it is that the show completely revolved around zack's life, how do you make up for that?

Yes the show did revolve around Zack but with the new class you know it could have made more story lines to add into it and Zack could have picked up a young guy to take underneath his wings to show him the ropes and run the school the same way you know. I mean there is ways to make up for that. I am pretty sure of it.

Yeah but when the class of 1993 would have graduated and then they moved onto Saved By The Bell The College Years and everything would have been in place. I do not think that Saved By The Bell The New Class would have struggled as much because right after The College Years was canceled Screech went to the Saved By The Bell The New Class.

They tried something like this on BH 90210, but abandoned the spin off.

The thing is that Saved By The Bell The College Years did not work I hate to say it because you have three of the main characters on the show Zach, Slater, and Screech. Kelly did not join the show until late because I remember she was on 90210 due to her then at the time boyfriend Green. When Kelly did come onto the show they completely altered her character from high school to college. I found her character completely different and no longer the same Kelly that everyone knew from the show. Plus, I think that because they did not have Jesse and Lisa did not help matters out for the show.
