The only problem I had with College Years

WTF were the constant "aaaaaah!!" "ooooh!!" from the girls in the audience?? Were they retarded or what?!? My God, this was just taking the piss, it happened a lot more than in the High School run of the series. Come off it, were there only retarded girls in the audience when that show was played?!? LOL I mean whenever Slater said a sentence praising himself or someone appeared in a tight t-shirt, there we heard the spastic "aaaaah, wow, ooooh" cries from the same dumb cows in the audience!!

All those "aaaaaahs!!" "oooohs!!" are dubbed. What do you think every TV show is filmed before a live studio audience?

reply

I donĀ“t really know... but I know Fresh Prince of Bel Air and a few others were (filmed on a makeshift set before a live audience, just as if you were watching it in a theater). I supppose after that comes all the editing and stuff but I always wondered about the stupid squeals in SBTB.

I agree, I hated the wolf whistles and screams.

Even 'Friends' incorporated this at one point. It's ridiculous.

XD I swear this show had the most easily amused crowd ever(even tho it wasn't live) and half the time the sounds didn't even match the mood.

reply

I know. It sounds like they filled the audience with groupies.
I don't know why some shows allow that (whether it's an actual audience or sound clips). It's annoying.

I love this thread. I agree with everyone.

Many shows like this are filmed with a live audience, and the audience is prompted when to ooh and ah often.

Even the most primitive society has an innate respect for the insane.

They are filmed live but some times the oohs and aahs are added in. I had went to a live taping for a show before in the past and they had a famous guest star in that episode and when the show was actually aired there was applause and cheering but when I was there none of that happened.

"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"
