Why did they make her work in a bridal shop?

Something I've never thought of until yesterday - Fran worked in a bridal shop before Danny fired/dumped her. Yet it's pretty well established that the reason she's so obsessed with getting married is because of her mother warping her from a very young age. So what was the point of the store being a bridal shop? Was this ever addressed, or is there an episode I'm forgetting where Fran talks about the impact working at a bridal shop also had on her psyche, in addition to her mother? It just kind of seems like they meant to have that be one of the root causes of her marriage obsession, yet, in actuality, it was all attributed to Sylvia.

Who knows. Maybe they did it unintentionally, but I'd like to think that maybe Fran worked in that bridal shop BECAUSE of the way her mother talked to her about marriage from a young age.

That would make sense. I just don't remember that ever being discussed (could just be forgetting), so it makes me wonder why they chose that and never really explained it.

Fran Drescher's Ma in real life worked at a Bridal Store. That's it.

The store was also owned by Danny Imperiale, who was her boyfriend/fiancé for many years before he dumped her for a worthless bimbo (Heather Biblow). But I now agree that the writers could just as well have made it a different kind of store.

Intelligence and purity.
