The Chatterbox episode
I've always wondered, was this episode meant to be the start of a spin-off show or something? This show featured little Nanny actors and had almost nothing to do with the show as we knew it.

According to The Nanny Episodes Wikipedia page (and the episode's IMDB page) it says that it was a failed attempt at a spin off pilot surrounding the Chatterbox employees
shareThanks so much, I knew it had to be something like that.
Anytime! Funny how they brought back The Chatterbox in the last season but with different characters (guess it was all Tracey Nelson's fault...LOL)
shareI saw the first episode. Any blame here was shared!
If that was supposed to be a backdoor pilot, it was a bad vehicle.
The episode was pretty awful, but I loved the beginning with CC laughing in Tracy Nelson's face at the audition:
Thank you...Babes....
(cc SLAMS DOOR BEHIND HER)
HA HA HA HAAAAAA!
Only good part of the episode.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
In addition to "The Chatterbox," there was another episode from Season 2 which was supposed to serve as the backdoor pilot for a "Nanny" spinoff in which Tyne Daly's character of a retiring nanny was supposed to be engaged to her boss and move to Boca Raton, Florida. Thank goodness neither show got picked up.
shareThat's funny, because I've always really liked the Chatterbox episode, even though it stands out so much because we're being introduced to all these random new characters. I guess I would have been a fan of the spinoff! Bummer.
shareI don't know if it would have lasted past 10 episodes, it didn't look like a strong enough show. I liked the Asian lady, the Niles looking hair dresser, and the handsome hair dresser was alright.
