Funniest Moment on The Nanny??

Just wondering what ppl think is the funniest moment on the show?

While there are ALOT of moments i thought were funny- I found one in particular I couldn't stop laughing at- I was watching season 4 & 5 and during the episode with Bette Midler during the auction, Fran is posing on stage and suddenly someone yells from the audience "TAKE IT OFF!!" and when everyone turns around it was Niles!! The look on his face was PRICELESS!

Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

Almost all of the scenes in "The Grandmas". Nettie, Yetta and Sylvia were my favorite people on this show. I wish Nettie had been on more, she was a hoot.

Fran: Like Shakespeare once said, 'like the sands of the hour glass, so are the days of our lives'.

I'm not sure which season, but it is the one where Fran gets a spot on the Rosie O'Donnell show.
Yetta comes to the house and tells Mr. Shefield that she had a dream where he enters the house and kisses a brunette on the lips, after which he trips over an ottoman. Someone mentions that she was thinking of the Dick Van Dyke Show. Yetta turns to Brighton and says "Here is Richie", and then she goes down the hallway and looks into the mirror and says "And there is Millie". For those who don't know, the actress who played Yetta was the same who played Millie on the Dick Van Dyke Show.

At the end of the same episode they have the characters dressed up like the characters from the Dick Van Dyke Show; Mr. Shefield as Richard Petrie, Fran as Laura Petrie, CC as Salley Rogers, and Niles as Mel. They even did it in Black and white.

Shaving Sheffield in the hospital...hilarious!

I think the kids had some pretty funny lines.

One that was a little offbeat (but that I wouldn't expect from a 12 yr old!!) was when Gracie was preparing to write a letter to President Clinton, and Maxwell tells Brighton to help her. So when she asks (something like): "How should I start a letter to the most powerful man in America??"

And without missing a beat, Brighton responds:

"Dear Newt..." LOL

reply

LOL!!! Yes that was hysterical!

I can't remember what the episode is called but it's in the first or second season. It's the episode where Nanny Fine become friends with one of the kids friends male nanny and she thinks he's gay.

Ok anyway, so the funny part is when Mr. Sheffield catches them kissing and freaks out at Fran and makes the male nanny leave. Then they realize all she's wearing is a bra so she tries to put something on and then she tries to take it off but it won't come off so Mr Sheffield is trying to help her. As they're doing that they end up falling on the bed and Niles walks by as this all is going on. I laugh every time!

This is my signature.

The tattoo episode. The part where Fran and Max is playing ping pong gets me each time.

The OP reminded me of the time Niles is on vacation at a seaside resort. He sees a woman from behind and says "Shake it Miss Babcock." Then, they look at each in horror (even though he's got sunglasses on) realizing they're vacationing at the same place. Niles says "Daylight come and me wan' go home," a nod to Harry Belafonte's Day-O. Hilarious!

The time Fran and Val are waiting at the bus stop. It's too crowded and she wants everyone to leave, so Fran says to Val she has a plan. She says very loudly, "Can you believe that beautiful apartment on the corner is up for rent for only $400 a month?" It works, everyone scatters... except so does Val.

The food fight where Maggie says "But who's the dork who turned on the lights?" and Max, the guilty party says "It wasn't me. I went to get my camera." Even better was earlier in the episode when Fran was luring Freida and Sylvia with the cake and telling Brighton to guard the door. They were coming at him in slow motion and the looks on Sylvia and Brighton's faces were priceless! Brighton ran for his life! There's just so many good ones.

The shaving. Enough said:)

I have a lot--
Fran eating the wasabi covered sushi in "Val's Boyfriend." The look on her face was EPIC!
Fran dressing up like a man to get into the men's club in "Stock Tip."
When Max tells CC that Fran lost the Shakespeare note that was in her stolen purse, CC goes "I'LL KIIIIIILLLL YOOOOU!" and tries smothering Fran with a pillow. Just before that, Fran says "please let Macbeth be something you eat with McFries!"
The entire Kibbutz episode, with the flashback of Fran and Val as teenagers and we see younger versions of Niles and CC on Virginia Graham. I love how Yelsie's son asks Maggie if he'll take her hat when they're at the Kibbutz and Fran runs over and says "OH NO YA DON'T!" (lol Fran losing her "hat" at the same place was really when she had sex for the first time )
The Liz Taylor episode. Especially Fran's fake "buzzer" noise and when Niles sees her and Max in the jacuzzi and says "Miss Babcock's on the phone but I'll just tell her you'll call right back (speaking into the phone) Right after you and Miss Fine get out of the jacuzzi!"
Fran imagining herself as Barbra Streisand at the hockey game 

Like the proverbial cheese, I stand alone. Even while seated.

I just watched the Episode with Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop and I LOLed so hard and loud.

Lamb chop really made the episode much funnier.

The part where CC walks in wearing a sheepskin coat and She was saying Hello to Shari and all off a sudden lamb chop starts screaming at the sheepskin coat. lol then chester eating lambchop and fran was trying to make Chester puke lambchop out by shaking him next to the sink. LOL

My favorite line - partially because I can relate, but also just because of the way Fran delivers it - is in Shopaholic, when the lady at the Jersey outlet tells Fran she's had enough, and then she goes, "Just a couple of hoops for the ROAD, lady!" Classic.

I would just add that I forgot another one I love, though maybe not quite as much - When Fran is lecturing Brighton in the cab about not rejecting Brooke, and the loser from her high school who turns out to be the cabbie bitterly starts butting in - The look on her face and the way Fran just irritatedly says, "Uh, I work alone here..." slays me every time.

Wasabi.... can't eat sushi without thinking about that scene and laughing my booty off about it!

"This really clears the nasal passages... I like it.... I wonder how long it will last?"
