how did they get so many guests to appear on the show?

how did they manage to get so many guests on the show?

i don't think i've seen any other tv show with as many guests as the nanny.

where they all real life friends of fran drescher?

reply

Not sure but they must have gotten some money for their appearances, don't forget they had the late Sheri Lewis on the Nanny and I don't even know if they had met prior to the filming of the episode Lamb Chop's on the menu, or if they really met up prior to the guest star's first appearance on the show.

They paid them

They paid them

lol i know that but i've never seen a tv show with so many big named guests.

This show had everyone from roseanne, bette middler and ray charles. Those are some pretty big names in showbusiness.

I can't imagine bette middler or ray charles just agreeing to do any type of show just for a paycheck. They are both considered legends.

The bigger the name. The more pickier they are so i can't think of why so many big names would agree to it unless they where friends with fran drescher or something.

The show was a huge ratings hit so it was a way for the guest stars to advertize and build their personal brand, since very often they were graced with the rare opportunity to appear as themselves.
