Frasier's status

How in the world did Fraisier afford all these extravagant things on a local radio hosts salary? The show wasn't even syndicated.

reply

Well, he was a practicing psychiatrist for many years, and that's a high-paying field. ANd he no doubt made plenty of wise investments along the way.

reply

I suppose, but it still seemed that he was living a little high on the hog for a local radio show host. Even when he was on Cheers and worked as a psychiatrist, his home and lifestyle wasn't as upscale as it was on Frasier.

reply

True, but he's the type who would go out of his way to live in that fashion anyway, as much as possible. Clearly he had some money from somewhere!

Or, we can chalk it up to an exaggeration of reality in order to highlight the comedy. :)

reply

Eddie was the breadwinner, local dog shows and what not. It is why he was aloud free roam in the house.

reply

That must be it! :)

reply

Yes, Eddie was the true talent on the show.

reply

That dog had charisma AND style!

reply

I heard somewhere that he got more fan mail then the whole cast combined tenfold.

reply

I believe that. Love Eddie.

reply

was it the same dog for all 11 seasons?

reply

No. Eddie was played by one dog for 9 seasons and for the last two he was played by the son of the original Eddie. Moose was the original Eddie and Enzo(moose's son) played him after Moose retired.

reply

Did he retire or did he die?

reply

I'm sure he's dead now.

reply

well yeah, but i mean did he die and thats why they replaced him.

reply

No he wasn't replaced because he died. Moose was born in 1990 and died in 2006. Moose left the show in 2002, so he lived quite awhile after that. He was just getting old and that is why he was replaced by Enzo.

reply

Because TV money is worth 1,000 times over real money.
