I’d think he at least tried it. As you said he was a bad boy. From what I remember his trailer park had some “bad boy” types too. I could definitely see Sean trying to act as tough as them when he was in the trailer park. Just wanting to fit in. I wouldn’t be surprised he also tried to look cool sipping on alcohol when he was among these trailer park friends.
I had a few friends growing up who lived in trailer parks and one told me everyone looked out for everyone. If you were a trailer park teen you were expected to share your cigarettes and alcohol with other teens there. If you didn’t then you’d be sorry.
