Two Rhiannons

I know that they had 2 different actresses playing Topanga's mom, Rhiannon. But why were they both in episodes that played one right after the other? I mean, in S7E1, they had one actress (don't remember the name) and the very next episode, S7E2, it was Marcia Cross playing her again. I can see if the episodes aired at different times of the year, not one week later!

Rhiannon was also Topanga's second mother. In season 1 she was Chloe. Her father has always been Jedediah.

I wonder why they changed her mom's name?

The first one was Annette O'Toole I think. Unless that was "Chloe".
