Stopped watching...

I started to rewatch this series since its been years last time I watched it. Started off great and the writing was good. But started getting so repetitive and the characters seemed so whiny. Corey never had any real life issues. Eric was once a smart ladies man but now a moron. I got about halfway through season 6 and just couldn't watch anymore. Did anyone else feel this way? My brother then recommend the wonder years and man is that show just wonderful! It feels like a movie plus he actually has reall struggles. Also feels so much more mature. I'm guessing ben was just really jealous of his brother and got his own show even on the same network!

It seems Eric got stranger while Topanga went normal. Should have done a Freaky Friday episode.

There's no question wonder years was better but I like 1- 6 of boy. Seven is where it becomes unwatchable.

This.

The only consistent character was Shawn.

Wonder Years is so much better in every way

When it came to my favorite light, cheesy and family shows.I enjoyed Full House and Step By Step more. I remember being into BMW as a kid and probably quit somewhere in season 4.

I grew up with BMW and in its initial run even at a very young age, I remember growing tired of some of the characters by around season 5/6. Episodes that started off as a Corey life lesson would some how swing into a Shawn life lesson like the alcohol episode. That one still puzzles me to this day. I watched The Wonder Years series in its entirety in 2008 and since then, it's been my favorite tv series and rewatch it all the time when I get the itch. I agree that The Wonder Years overall is more enjoyable than BMW. When I rewatch BMW, I normally only go to episodes in the first 4 seasons.
