Why Will Friedle kept gaining weight and disappeared from TV acting

Basically, three years into Boy Meets World, acting on screen and in-front of people began to give Will massive panic attacks and anxiety. It started when shooting for a movie in 1996 and then never stopped. So he had to take medication for it because he was still doing BMW, and it made him eat more. And as we saw around that time, he was getting and bigger.

After BMW ended, that's when he decided to just do all those voice acting jobs instead (which he is very successful at). He said by the end he gained like 50 pounds. These days, he did stop taking the medication but he still has panic attacks 4-5 times a week, he just deals with it naturally.

When he returned for Girl Meets World, he was also very scared. But he said the standing ovation he ended up getting and all the feedback from the fans made him feel better and good about performing in-front of people.

He's probably a binge eater or emotional/stress eater.

Awww Will that is sad to know. But I totally relate to the panic attack aspect. I always wondered why he was only a voice actor for so long after BMW. Smart choice on his part. And good for him for coming back to reprise his role of Eric. Because both character and actor are quite beloved.

He said in an interview the weight gain was from his medication.
