I thought they had great chemistry and always thought they should have been together and Eric should have married the girl with the son. I also think that the televising job he had would have suited him perfectly.

Eric and the single mom was actually the most compelling romance of the whole show and really deserved more than one episode. Part of me really wishes they had ended up together
shareI agree with you, but maybe they felt that it would give him too much stability and they wanted to turn him into a dumb fool which they thought the audience would enjoy more.

If we're steering Eric in the direction of someone he only has a one episode arc with, I'm going to go with a popular opinion and say I wish he had more with Tommy.
