Unlawful Entry or Pacific Heights
Both very similar films just wondering who prefered what outta interest?

Unlawful. Modine was too wussy of a good guy, whereas Russell was badass.

I would say Unlawful Entry too, because to see Russell and Liotta in the same movie was just awesome. Both performances were very good, even tough Liotta steals the show, like he does regularly in many movies.
But Micheal Keaton was pretty awesome too in Pacific Heights, even though he did't have as much screentime as Liotta in Unlawful Entry.
Wouldn't it be nice to see Russell,Liotta and Keaton in the same movie some day?
I'm a big fan of those three guys.

Oh god, Pacific Heights is sooooo boring! I have never been able to sit and watch it in one sitting it's so dull and slow and really...nothing happens! UE is WAAAAAAAAY better.

Hard decision... I think I would go with Pacific Heights

Unlawful Entry

Unlawful Entry for me. More psychologically stirring, gets more personally invested in the characters, whereas Pacific Heights suggested a wrong place- wrong time vibe for the the couple and just business for Keaton. UE also gets going quicker, better paced.
shareI definitely preferred 'Unlawful Entry'. The characters in 'Pacific Heights' were bland (including Michael Keaton's baddie). Plus the villain's motivation/behaviour in this one made more sense and it's easier to root against a corrupt cop as opposed to a disturbed tenant. Both couples were smug yuppies but Kurt Russell brought more personality to his character than Matthew Module did to his, and likewise, Madeleine Stowe makes for a more sympathetic presence than Melanie Griffith.
shareUnlawful entry. Not even close. Matthew Modine and Melanie Griffith. Enough said
