Looking for Mr. Goodbar (spoilers)
Just noticed how similar the murder of Theresa (Diane Keaton's character) at the end of Robert Brooks' 1977 "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" is to that of Laura at the end of "Fire Walk With Me", both in terms of mise-en-scène and context (the editing, the strobe lights, the stabbing, blood and confusion, the insane perpetrator torn between feelings of guilt and sadistic homicidal rage, the victim more or less welcoming death...).
The victims in both films also display many similarities: serious daddy issues, drugs, life spiraling out of control, promiscuity...
