The creamed corn scene towards the end...

Ok, first of all? I thought that was porridge until read another topic about it on here!! Secondly, bleeeeeee!! I really don't like watching other people eat as it does gross me out more than a bit when they chew!! Its just something I don't like, sorry!! However it leads me to my actual question!

Is it me or does it seem like that shot of his mouth eating the corn is running backwards? Like he's spitting it out onto the spoon rather than actually eating/kinda slurping it? I tried it, albeit with porridge, and got a similar effect...

I thought had added this but also? If he is spitting it out? Is he giving back the Garmonbozia?

"Secondly, bleeeeeee!!"

Heheheheh, "bleeeeee." Somebody should say "bleeeeeee" in a Lynch movie. Hell, maybe Lynch himself could say it.

I'm imagining the scene with the coffee-drinking mobsters in "Mulholland Dr." but with one of them going "bleeeeee" instead of dribbling coffee all over himself

It's definitely shot and edited in reverse. You'd have to exert a lot of sucking power to pull the corn in your mouth the way it's shown in the film, such that you'd be able to visually notice it and you can't. Considering how many moments were shown in reverse in the film, it fits right in with all the rest.

It's definitely in reverse. I don't know anyone who could suck creamed corn so hard that they left the spoon clean.

In all of Lynch's worst graphically disgusting scenes, and I know them all right down to Bobby Peru's head exploding to bits (Wild At Heart), the reversed creamed corn spewing scene is the ONLY scene I close my eyes for, every time.

Revolting. So crass.
