Where was the giant?

I'm looking for an in-story explanation, but I don't think there will be one.

In the TV show, the MFAP always seemed neutral or trying to help, and the giant always seemed like he was trying to help; - in the season 2 finale we even see them sat side by side, explaining a few things to Cooper. But obviously in FWWM they made it clear the MFAP was sinister and was in some sort of partnership with BOB, and so I think they just couldn't work out how the Giant would fit into it all, seeing as the film more or less says that all the lodge inhabitants are bad and feast on pain/sorrow.

Basically, I mean, after watching everything, I'm pretty sure they made most of the supernatural stuff up as they went along. Because what they were implying with the film, doesn't really work well with what we've seen before from the Lodge inhabitants

Also, the creamed corn - ion the series that old woman said she specifically asked NOT to have creamed corn, but in FWWM, they are all after the corn (or well, what it represents), so I didn't get that.

Interestingly, the new TV series will have the Giant, but not the MFAP or BOB (MFAP actor couldn't reach an agreement with Showtime, and BOB actor has passed away) and the film had both of these but not the giant.

We see the giant only after a certain point in the narrative. A big idea? Anyway, could be important.

As for the corn, well, ever have something brought on your plate that you didn't want, but ate anyway,
maybe because that's what there was? Denial doesn't always work.

There was a falling out between Frost and lynch at the time this was filmed, so the giant(Frost's creation) as well as most of Frost's influence on the TP mythos was absent. For example Bob and the spirits travel via electricity instead of owls. Which is too bad, I liked the giant, and wish he was in this
