Symbolic of American culture!

I recently purchased this move at a pawn shop and it brought back a lot of childhood memories. I used to watch it over and over when I was younger. I believe that it's truly a wonderful movie and I look forward to showing it to my kids in the future! It really shows how we as Americans watch too much tv and it could end up controlling our lives and we lose sight of what's really important to us---> Friends, family, relationship, achieving our purposes.... Thanks.

SOMEONE ON THE PREVIOUS TOPIC SAID THEY COULD'NT UNDERSTAND WHY DEMONS WERE TAKING OVER TELIVISION BUT I THINK IT CAN BE DIRECTLY TIED IN WITH A LOT OF THEORY'S GOING RIGHT BACK TO GEORGE ORWELL ABOUT HOW THE GOVERMENT USES THE MEDIA AND IN PARTICULAR - TELIVISION, TO KEEP US IN A CONSTANT STATE OF LETHARGY, NEVER PUSHING OUR AMBITIONS FURTHER THAN GETTIN HOME FROM WORK AND "HAVING A COLD BREWSKIE DUDE!". JUST LOOK AT PRESIDENT BUSH USING DIALOGUE MORE IN LINE WITH ACTION FILMS AND SOAP PLOTS WHEN GIVING SPEECHES! POLITICS IS SUPPOSED TO BE IMPARTIAL AND RESERVED.IN SPEKING FOR THE PEOPLE, THE PRESIDENT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE VOICE OF REASON IN A COUNTRY LARGLY MADE UP OF DRUNKEN REDNECKS WITH TOO MUCH POWER, HE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ONE OF THOSE DRUNKEN REDNECKS!
JUST GO LISTEN TO BILL HICKS.

A darker version of "Stay Tuned" would be VIDEODROME. It proves Mykwain's theory (which is posted above). VIDEODROME is essentially about a video tape (kinda like The Ring), that causes a tumor that causes hallucinations, and eventually, controls your actions. It could also be like "THX-1138". Anyway, there was a scene in the film regarding exactly how drugged these people were. Sex is illegal in their world, so there TV shows naked people jumping up and down, but the character is so drugged, he has no reaction to the "stimulant".
