I remember when this movie came out on Video years ago on the stills on the back of the case there was an image that used to confuse me greatly as it wasnt in the film. It was a picture of Bridget Fondas character cradling Heddy in her arms BUT there were people surrounding them looking at them and the lift door BEHIND them was open - the scene was obviously ommited from the final cut, I wonder if we would ever see a directors cut? I Loved Bridget Fonda in this movie! A personal favourite!

I think its just a photo, shot on set in order to sell the movie. I don´t think its from any particular scene. I think it was just used for publicity really. I think it was used on back of the VHS case and DVD do confuse the viewers who might actually the be the bad girl in the film. Sounds confusing I know.

I was also thinking that possibly, this might have been a scene that was shot right after Allie kills Hedy. Maybe after Allie kills Hedy, she brought Hedy up to the elevator and was cradling her dead body. Then people started to crowd around her and watch..., just a guess.

Sounds probable. The film ends so abruptly (with that monologue that weirdly tries to absolve Heddy - Stockholm Syndrome anyone?) that I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some stuff cut out. Maybe even some final dying words from Heddy as Allie brings her up in the lift.
