Mr. Red, green, yellow, purple, magenta, cyan, BLACK
How do you choose white AND blonde but skip over black?
The choice of code names has always been a massive source of frustration for me every time I watch this movie, which has been many times
Mr. BROWN? Ok???
If you want to use the military strategy of an alphabet using words that all use different first letters then ok, that makes some sense strategically. But you have a Mr. Brown AND a Mr. Blonde and a Mr. Blue
So the "masterminds" behind this criminal plot don't seem to have any theoretical basis for their naming structure. But they're also inflexible when it comes to changing these names?
Hmkay. It's not a real plot hole because the rationale behind the names is never revealed, so it could be based completely on the whimsy of the mob boss. But I will not hold my tongue in expressing my distaste with the naming scheme. I would have liked to see a Mr. Red, a Mr. Green, a Mr. Purple, a Mr. Magenta, and a Mr. Cyan (yellow obvs related to pee and cowardice so the characters would have objected and Mr. Black would have been too coveted)
It's also annoying because BLONDE is a hair-color and the rest of the names are just normal colors. If there were a Mr. Brunette then I would have been more ok with a Mr. Blonde, but nope. Blonde is like a mix of white and yellow. I do not approve
