i have seen this movie a couple of times trying to figure out whether ivy is a generally good or bad person at heart. i mean, it could goe either way. she could have killed the mother to put her out of her misery or she could have killed the mother to have the family to herself. She seemed to really want to be part of the family, even in the ending scene.

Heh it's hard to figure out isn't it?? I'm watching this film right now and am that scene

In my opinion she put her out of her misery, I believe she was a good person, just a little sick that's all and a bit selfish
but overall it could go either way
