Does anybody out there possibly have a copy of the soundtrack of this film, which is meant to exist on CD but is very, very rare - it has been on eBay a few times. I would pay for a copy of this disc - or just the songs in mp3 format.
Please let me know as I've been searching for years now! Thanks ...
I've been searching for one ages, and I asked my CD store a few weeks back and said the sountrack has been deleted since 1993 or 1994, and the only way to get it is of ebay or amazon, so good luck to both of us lol....
I would love to have the part of the score that is played when Ivy and Sylvia first enter the living room and Ivy is talking about suicide. The music is so haunting and gorgeous. with little luck that will happen I might as well try to find someone who can play it and have them record it for me. LOL. Really, though, it just sounds like simple guitar.
I don't exactly have the soundtrack, but I do have two great songs that are from the movie. "The Salt Of Joy" (played after Ivy and Coop argued over calling the dog) and "Let It Go" (played while Sylvie is riding in the back of the truck after they both got tattoos) by The Dan Reed Network. If you want these, you can email me at [email protected]. I also have a small score from the movie, (and I mean small) that you might like. Just let me know what format: iTunes, QuickPlayer, RealPlayer, etc. Take care!
-Speedi
P.S. Anyone else that want these songs can email me as well.
Thanks Speedi - awful nice of you, but I already have those songs from it ("The Salt of Joy" is actually one of my favourite songs of all time; got it in the car).
All I ever really wanted was the piano theme from this film, played when the mother dies, but I guess that's a dream that will never go fulfilled. :(
I take it the score isn't of that particular tune?!
There's this bloke on youtube who claims to own the soundtrack and he has even posted the first track online. But he's too much of a grinch to post the whole thing! (eventhough he like totally promised)
So Poison Ivy lovers, unite and convince this guy to upload the rest. Victory!
If anyone is looking for a copy of the haunting piano track that Sylvie writes for her dying mum, private message me. I might be able to make you very happy indeed!
Thank you for a genuinely informative and intelligent response. It's so annoying when just about every other film known to man has a soundtrack released - even when the music sounds like something from an elevator - but this has some genuinely beautiful, haunting tracks throughout, and nothing.
Yeah, those YouTubers are full of it.
All I really want is that piano track. I wish some Yamaha keyboard wizard would just produce a version of it. There must be some kind of musical genius out there who can recreate what he hears via piano.
